Noodles and Lemon

Noodles (in the stunning black coat) and Lemon (in the sunny red coat) are cousins. Lemon is a full sister of the litter of puppies Hiedi had January 21st, 2011. Noodles is a full sister of the litter of puppies Gretchen had January 26th, 2011. Thanks Brandi for keeping us in great labradoodles pictures.

Hiedi had her puppies on Januay 21st, 9 beautiful babies, 5 boys and 4 girls. They are all kind of pink right now, soon their noses will turn black like little black buttons.

Here's Mercedes and Fritz's boy Mook all grown up. He has turned into an eye stopping silver biege just like his mom.

Hiedi and Dutch's Sophie had her first birthday a few days ago. She is looking good, just about a perfect 50/50 mix of her parents.

She is much loved by her family, who thinks she's perfect.

Lucy

Lucy had a great birthday last week. We spent the day together and took several walks!

Lucy is the best dog EVER! She has such a wonderful disposition and is very social. I don't know how tall she is but she was weighed yesterday and weighs 40.5lbs! Attached are some photos.

Hi: I've attached a bunch of photos of our dear Lucky!

He is 1 1/2 now - a bit over 70 pounds and such a sweet guy. He is healthy, happy and well loved. As he gets older he is a real snuggler and the girls cannot stop playing with him. We just left him for the first time over Christmas and we missed him so much - when my father picked him up, the family caring for him was crying!

Our neighborhood dog park, Council Crest Park is full of doodles, poodles and such (at least 4-5 at 4 pm) - it is big dog play time - Lucky's favorite part of the day: racing around, chasing balls and playing hard with his buddies: Bruce, Beau, Ziggy, Ben and Lucky!!

Tawnee's first job on the truck was to clean up the floor from her grandma Gretchen tipped over the food dish and food rolled into the cracks on the floor. Next morning they are off to Sumner Washington to get a loaded trailer from Target and drive it down to Dallas Texas.

Today is Emma, Echo, Noodles(Girl), Noodles(Boy) Scooter, Jet, Sammy, Wally and Blaze's 2nd Birthday. You were all born in the early morning and the arrival of each one of you was an amazing miracle to see. All too soon you were off on new adventures with your families. Happy day to all of you. Yep that's right the Traveling pups have been changed again. Emma only got to do one run. Since Gretchen was coming back out of heat, we put her back on the truck. Gretchen really does enjoy riding on the truck. Of course, she thinks the snow is awesome too and whenever she can she buries her head into the snow.

M and Emma are back in Oregon driving across the state towards Woodburn OR, just south of Portland. Mike must have finally convinced Emma that riding up in the passenger seat was a good way to see where they are going. They drove thru the night until they got stopped in Baker City because of black ice on Cabbage Hill, 6% down grade.

After delivery their load in Salt Lake City, M and Emma sat for almost 24 hours waiting for their next load and got one just after dark. They are headed back toward Oregon. So far Emma prefers to sit on M's bed while they are driving. As soon as M leaves the truck, Emma is up in his seat. Another thing is getting use to doing everything on a leash. We don't really have much of a need for walking on a leash at home, so Emma now has to get use to going potty on the leash. That's why we got M a retractable leash to use with the dogs. I don't like to use one for just everyday walks because dogs need to walk either beside me or behind me. It took a day and a half before Emma went potty.

Traveling Emma is on her way to Salt Lake City Utah with a hot load being rushed to a Target store in Colorado. Emma has a nice thick curly coat that will make it nice to play in the snow that she is sure to see. Already on her first day of trucking she is in the snow.

Traveling Gretchen has been retired from the Trucking Life for now. She came into heat and had to come off the truck to keep it from getting stained. You make be able to see that Fritz and Gretchen have tied the knot and that it's snowing. So now Gretchen's daughter Emma has gone on the road and will be our next Traveling Dog with M.

Here M and Gretchen are headed to LasVegas Nevada. Thru the window you can kind of see dry mountain terrain. They had 2 stops to make at Wal-Mart in Vegas before headed back the the DC in Utah for more. Okay you dwellers of Sin City, you should be able to find some good deals on black Friday.

Gretchen walking the parking lot in Salt Lake City. Gretchen and M delivered their load and headed over to Corrine where there's a distribution center (DC) for Wal-Mart. M and Gretchen are back on a Wally Run. Which basically means they will travel in a circle from the DC to 2 to 3 stores and back again to the DC. This is great news because it is steady miles.

M and Gretchen got their load dropped off and stopped at the terminal in Lancaster for a break and so Mike could check in face to face with his driver manager. The driver manager helps arrange loads for their drivers. It was pouring down rain and Gretchen got quite and bit wet. So here's her wet face. Coming from the Pacific North West, I'm used to seeing her wet face. M said that everyone on the roads were all of a sudden driving insane because of the rain. Reminds me of how people here drive the few times we get snow.

I'm not sure where Gretchen and M are, Texas is a big state and they have been making several stops. I believe this was taking after they made their delivery. Gretchen coat looks a little funny because she started to shake just as M took her photo. When I first saw it I thought she was losing hair on her side.

M and Gretchen had plenty of time to deliver their load so they spent the day at a truck stop near El Paso. Gretchen investigated a small catus in the kind of grassy area next to the truck stop. Afterwards M checked her out to make sure she didn't have anything stuck in her fur.

After delivering their load in Ogden, M and Gretchen did a 34 hour break and then picked up their next load to be delivered in Texas near El Paso. They drove during the night and rested during the day. It's easier to drive at night for truckers, there's a lot less traffic on the road and less chance of long waits thru road construction.

They stopped in Utah for some rest. Gretchen got to get out of the truck and play a bit in the snow. M said that she kept putting her nose down into the snow and coming up with a white beard. Another driver brought over his dog and the two played in the snow. While there was a few inches of snow on the ground the roads were bare and wet.

We missed seeing Gretchen in a few states as they traveled back westward, they were doing most of the driving at night. In Wyomin they came across their first snow fall of the year. There was just a inch or so on the road along wth heavy winds.

Sugar is a chocolate standard poodle. She was picked out by a four year old, he walked in the door and said "I want that one and her name is Sugar" 30 minutes later Sugar and the boy went home together.

Finally they make their delivery in N. Carolina. Great news that they find another load waiting for them to take to Ugden Utah, which is really right where they want to go. In Utah they can get on a dedicated run, where they pretty much run in a circle making three to four stops.

Gretchen is in the truck already to get set to drive from Columbus to North Carolina. They will drive thru the night to deliver their load in the morning, then take a break for 10 hours.

By the end of the day today M and Gretchen stopped for the night in Jackson Miss. Temps are warmer in the south compared to what Gretchen is used to, M has been pretty good about making sure Gretchen gets plenty of water and runs the truck to help keep her cool.

Gretchen must be watching a lot of trucks parking so she parked herself. Mike reports that she is real good on the recall command and now can spend a few minutes off leash for some play time. Gretchen got to meet a golden retriever and played well while their trucker dads watch. M and Gretchen are headed up to Memphis Tenn driving east from Texas.
